Dr. Ashim Kumar Naskar
Dr. Ashim Kumar Naskar was born on 10 December 1963 to Dhirendra Nath Naskar and Usha Naskar. He was born and bought up in a very poor family. He was a very meritorious student and has passed in the first division in every institute. He did his MBBS in North Bengal Medical College, Siliguri. Before his medical studies, he worked as a telephone operator for the Central Government of India due to extreme poverty. After his studies, he worked in many hospitals and gathered vast experience in clinical subjects. During his career, he has worked as ADMO, DMO, Sr. DMO, Sr. DMO (SG) and MS. He also worked in the post of Addl. Chief Medical Superintendent.
He runs an organization named Naskar Charitable Health Camp to help poor people. He plays the Tabla and loves reading, writing, listening to songs, drawing, gardening and travelling. He has been awarded many times for his good academics, career and charitable health services. Jibonmukhi is his first poetry book, and Pranabanta is his second. Probahoman will be his third poetry book.
