Dr. Debesh Patra

Dr. DC Patra combines in him a manager, a researcher, an author and a teacher. He too is a devotee and committed for the uplift of human thinking and living. He has written extensively on the philosophy of Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra. 

After superannuating from Bharat Petroleum as ‘Executive Director’ in 2021, Dr. Patra served as ‘Program Director Hydrogen’ in Indian Energy Skill Development Pvt Ltd for 2 years. Dr. Patra also served in Reserve Bank of India for 2 years (1985-87). 

As visiting faculty, Dr. Patra taught in Naval Academy, INS, Mandovi, Goa (1994), Somaiya Vidyavihar University and St. Xavier’s College, in Mumbai (2023-24). Dr. Patra spoke in World Energy Congress (2016) and World Petroleum Congress (2017). Dr. Patra is a Fellow Energy Institute, London (2018); holds Ph. D in ‘Petroleum Economics’ from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun (2007). 

Dr. Patra was shortlisted as ‘Energy Executive of the Year’ by ‘Petroleum Economist’ in 2017 and 2019. He was finalist winner of ‘Rising Star Award’ in 2019 and ‘Lifetime Achievement Award 2022, 2021 and 2020’ by ‘S&P Global Platts’.
