Dr. M. Karthik is currently working as Assistant Professor (Sr.G) in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at SRM Madurai College for Engineering and Technology, Sivagangai District. He received his B.E., degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Vel Tech Multi Tech Dr. RR & Dr. SR Engineering College, Chennai, India in 2013. He received his M.E., degree (with Distinction & Programme Topper) in High Voltage Engineering from National Engineering College, Kovilpatti, India in 2015. He has completed his Ph.D in the field of Liquid Dielectrics as a part time scholar in Anna University, Chennai in 2023. He has 10 years of teaching and research experience. He has attended 06 national and 19 international conferences. He has published 27 papers in international journals, 05 papers in SCI journals, 35 papers in scopus journals and 11 paper in Web of Science Journal. He has attended 30 FDPs, 25 workshops/seminars and 10 short term courses organized by various reputed institutions like IITs, IISC and NITs. He received Bharat Excellence Award and Leading Educationist of India Award by Friendship Forum, New Delhi in the year 2024, Dr. Abdul Kalam Award and Best Teacher Award from Tamil Thai Foundation in the year 2023, Best Mentor Award from ATOM Sympo 2.0 in the year 2023, Award for Excellence in Research from Record Owner (Global Research & Development Award) in the Year 2021, Best Presentation Award in FIVCON 2020, Best Young Faculty Award 2019 by DKIRF, Academic Excellence Award in the year 2015. He has completed the BEC certification course and Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL). He has published 05 book chapters. He authored three books and holds 5 patent to his credit. He has organized many events like seminars, workshops and received funds from ISTE for organizing seminars. He also received the Anna University Seed Research Grant from Centre for Research.  He is an active member of Mentor of Change for ATAL Tinkering Lab. He had been the resource person for handling sessions in engineering colleges & schools.
