Nayaab Suhel
Nayaab Suhel is a young writer having credentials of publications in newspapers and several websites. She is 13 years of age and presently a student of Class IX, BSF Sr. Secondary School, Shillong, Meghalaya, India. Being a daughter of force personnel, she has to change schools frequently. As such her best friend and favourite time pass has always been BOOKS! Her write up in the Biannual International Short Story Contest-2020 #1 (International Short Story Contest) was adjudged as “Outstanding”. She has also been awarded the “Author of the Week” and “Author of the Year 2020 - 1st Runner Up” in another online contest.
Her latest achievement is winning the 4th position in an All India Essay Competition organized by Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD), Government of India. She is an ardent fan of Enid Blyton and draws inspiration from her. Other authors that inspire her are J.K Rowling, Chris Colfer and Roald Dahl. She dreams of becoming a writer like them someday!
Her first paperback edition 'Flamingo in Vamprickle Land' was the stepping stone to fulfil her dreams of becoming a writer. 'Flamingo In Vamprickle Land' was a huge success and was covered by 'DD Meghalaya' and another online platform 'Meghalaya Now'. A book review was taken out by M/s Patricia Mukhim, Editor of ' The Shillong Times ' and another newspaper ' The Megahalaya Times '. Her present work 'Gobo and The Enchanted Toadstool' is another small attempt to take her further in realizing her dream!
