Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalPortugal is definitely one of the best countries to fall in love with for many reasons, including its delectable array of food. There is something for everyone coming from different walks of life in the country. Portugal is not only known for its culture and food, but is also a great place for tourists, especially those who like to spend holidays on the beaches. The seafood in Portugal is amazing, and the country serves as the origin of some famous seafood dishes.
There is no doubt that Portuguese food contains healthy ingredients. Yes, there is an argument that Portuguese food is rich in calories. This is true in some cases, but not in all. Yes, people in rural areas of Portugal mostly depend on rich fats and proteins to sustain themselves, but modern Portuguese cuisine has evolved dramatically. Portuguese food is so well balanced that not a single ingredient goes waste. For example, take Bacalhau (cod fish), which is a trademarked Portuguese dish. You can expect to find it around the country and the interesting thing is that the same dish is prepared in different ways. The Portuguese claim that codfish can be prepared in more ways than the number of days in a year.
