Mani
R Subramanyam, aka Mani, is a retired engineer with a penchant for writing.
Born in Nagpur, Mani spent his childhood in Hyderabad, did his schooling in New Delhi and engineering in Hyderabad. He spent the next 20 years working for TATA, TISCO and TELCO in Jamshedpur.
At forty, he became an entrepreneur by starting a manufacturing unit to produce mechanical parts used in PSUs. Soon after, life took him to Abu Dhabi and Jordan where he went back to working for a couple of years before he returned to Hyderabad for his career.
After retirement, he has taken to writing full time. His first book, It Happened, is a biography of his father Shri Ramamoorthy which is for private circulation only.
Mani lives in Hyderabad with his wife Valli who is a ghazal singer. New Jersey, USA is his second home where his son lives with his family. These two cities form the inspiration for his book.
When he’s not penning down his thoughts, he’s most likely experimenting in the kitchen, driving or spreading joy around.
