This book is a great attempt in blending the critical components of information literacy, making it a “one stop shop,” in a way that it can enable a reader to quickly relate these components and gain a clear picture of how valuable information literacy can contribute to skills acquisition for lifelong learning. The content of the book is organized under nine main chapters, each unique and carrying a specific component of information literacy education. Rosemary M. Shafack is currently serving as the DirectorChief Librarian at the University of Buea, Library Cameroon., and an Associate Professor of Library, Archival and Information Sciences in the same university.Cameroon. She holds a B.A (Hons) in History/Geography from the University of Yaounde, a Masters in Library Studies from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, a Post Graduate Certificate in Library Management from the University of Warwick, UK, a Doctor of Philosophy in Library and Information Science from the University of Nigeria Nssuka (Nssuka-Nigeria) and a certificate to run Information Centres from Vienna, Austria. She is one of the International Federation of the Library Associations and Institution’s (IFLA) first Leadership Training Cohort program, one of 12 in the world. She has written and published much content in journals and books. She serves as an external assessor in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana and is a consultant in Curriculum Development in the area of Library and information science and has served on several international professional committees and boards.
