The author, Dr T. Gnana Sambanthan was a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering for about 25 years in NITTTR, a centrally funded Institution of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, in Chennai. He holds an M.E from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and a Ph.D from IIT Madras. He has a blend of Industrial, Research and Teaching/Training experiences of several years from India and abroad, mostly in s/w developments and educational research. In 1998, he was sponsored under the World Bank to Huddersfield University, UK, on “Curriculum Development in Computer Science Discipline”. In 2000, he was nominated to Manila, Philippines on “Computer Applications in Technical Education & Training” under Colombo Plan. In 2017 he was nominated to Dhaka, Bangladesh on TVET, CPSC programme on OBE. He has served in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for about 7 years as a s/w developer. He has to his credit of over 100 published papers mostly on OBE-CDIO in peer-reviewed journals and proceedings of National & International Conferences in India and abroad and also two editions of a book on computer graphics. This book is a derivative of his industrial experiences, research guidance to scores of PhD scholars and training of thousands of teachers.
