Ramesh Khachi
Ramesh Khachi passed the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test held for the first time at national level in 1986 and availed of free quality modern education from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Theog, District Shimla, Himachal Pradesh from sixth to twelfth.
During his schooling in 1992, his name was recorded in the "Guinness Book of Records" and "Limca Book of Records" for establishing a world record in ‘Static Wall Sit’ (Modified Utkatasan) and represented India in International Keyboarding Competition organised by Intersteno, Belgium in 2006. He is the first National Arbiter of Chess from Himachal Pradesh and his chess trainees have represented the country & state in various National & Open International Chess Championships.
He has been honored by the state government and other institutions with the various awards including 'Special Youth Award', 'Best Citizens of India Award' and 'Bharat Gaurav' for his contribution in sports, youth activities and published works.
He has been serving in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti since 1993. He is currently working as Senior Secretariat Assistant in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Rekong Peo, District Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh.
