Before discovering his passion for becoming an author, Hemanth explored many other interests—and he still holds onto them. He continues to enjoy aquascaping regularly and loves playing the guitar during his free time. He also makes time to read novels, particularly those centred on love stories and break-up stories. He is especially drawn to break-up narratives and how the author provides resolution in the end.
