I received a 100% scholarship to attend Stanford University. I lived the IIT dream, and I am a part of multiple organizations that enable me to learn more, educate myself and others every single day. This book is meant to act as a source of motivation, driving force, and guidebook for Indian students having a dream of studying abroad or any high school student in general.
This is my story: How I evolved from a clueless, 13-year-old boy who was driven and blinded by the IIT dream to take the road hardly taken. Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at Stanford University, Abhinav is, at his core, a multifaceted learner. His leadership portfolio is varied, ranging from organizations such as TechSoCh and YRC to the North American Association of Indian Students. His enthusiasm and relentless ambition and resilience have helped him win various awards and accolades: All-Rounder of the Year Award, Space Challenge of the New York Academy of Sciences, National Student of the Year Award consecutively for two years, NTSE, KVPY, National Rank 1 in National Science Concours, PRMO, Harvard Crossroads Leadership fellow, to name a few. As a 21st-century global citizen, Abhinav aims to leverage his skills to research in the field of Artificial Intelligence to help make education more accessible and affordable to all sections of society.
