I have been trained and brought in Orthopaedics at Bombay(Mumbai) at the Seth G.S.Medical College and KEM Hospital(Considered as the best hospital in South East Asia ) and at Liverpool,UK,which is considered as the `MECCA’ of Orthopaedics in the world.It was in Liverpool that I described this Modified Posterior Approach to the Hip Joint,in 1981,working with my respected teacher,late Mr.Geoffrey V Osborne,Senior Consultant orthopaedic Surgeon,University of Liverpool,UK to whom I have dedicated this book to in addition to my family. My respected teacher,late Mr.Geoffrey Osborne had described his own Approach along with late,Professor Brian McFarland,Professor of Orthopaedic surgery,University of Liverpool,UK many years ago in 1954,whrereas I had described my modification in 1981(Injury)(Reference No.6).
