I wanted to select such a subject for my study that which has a great importance now a days, which has no authentic medicine to reverse the process of the disease. Mukhadushika such a disease, that 90 % young generation is affected by this problem, Advanced technology and advanced science has made considerable efforts in understanding aetio- pathology of this disease. Thus there is no known cure for the disease, patient gets marginal relief. Topical steroids or retinoids along with systemic antibiotics have their limitations. The adverse effects include peeling of skin , skin irritation, allergy, GI upset, hyper pigmentation etc. So they still continue to suffer. They are rushing towards Ayurveda, for better cure.

Vd. Swami Vrushali Santosh completed her undergraduate course (B.A.M.S.) in 1999 from Vidarbha Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Amaravati at Amaravati University . She also completed her post graduation (M.D.) in Kayachikitsa in 2004 from S. G. R. Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Solapur at Shivaji University Kolhapur. She worked as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and PG Guide in Panchakarma in LRP Ayurvedic Medical College, Urun- Islampur, Sangli for 7 years. Presently She is working as Professor, PG Guide and Head of Department in Panchakarma Department at MES Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Ghanekhunt-Lote, Khed, Ratnagiri since last 8 years. Vd. Swami Santosh Irayya completed her undergraduate course (B.A.M.S.) in 1998 from S. G. R. Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Solapur at Shivaji University Kolhapur.
