A family of four visits the temple town of Udupi situated in the Konkan region of Karnataka. They learn the chronical that lead to the journey of King of the Yadava dynasty, Lord Krishna, from Dwaraka to Udupi. 

The play addresses how the longing of his mother Devaki and the steadfastness of Queen Rukmini along with the destruction of Dwaraka lead to the construction of the world-famous Krishna temple at Udupi by Shri Madhwacharya in the middle of 13th century.

Writer, Bharatanatyam dancer, and academician, Aakash Narasipure is the author of the book Rajathapeetapuram – A three act play. His works across multiple disciplines broadly address narratives of ancient Indian mythology and historical stories. He has worked as a writer in the academic section of various organizations. 

As a theater enthusiast and playwriter, Aakash Narasipure formed a theater group named the Actors Triangle in his college days and had his pieces performed on various occasions. In his other life, he respects and enjoys learning and performing Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Guru Smt. Gayathri Keshavan.
