Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalThis is extremely useful since it allows designers to not only save time when creating the simulation test bench but also evaluate their designs against real-world data. In addition, FPGA designs have become more sophisticated and thick. They're challenging to debug since the essential signals are becoming increasingly buried deep inside the logic fabric. Whether troubleshooting is done in the lab or in the field, access to signals in the FPGA, on board, or in the system is severely limited. ChipScope is an Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tool developed by Xilinx to address the controllability and observability challenges of in-circuit verification. This system provides essential intellectual property (IP) cores that provide real-time observability and controllability. It is possible to monitor any or all of the signals in a design by integrating an "Integrated Controller Core" (ICON) and an "Integrated Logic Analyzer" (ILA) into the top-level design and connecting them properly.
