Author Name: A Sathiya Susuman | Format: Paperback | Genre : Educational & Professional | Other Details

This pioneering, policy-relevant academic and technical demography book for Africa, in its sub-Saharan African context, is the result of a 10-year process of close collaboration by the coauthors and the institutional capacity building with numerous authors and graduate students at the Department of Statistics and Population Studies, University of the Western Cape, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Cape Town, South Africa.

This book uses statistical analysis in a simple manner, to cover broader aspects of Population Studies.

I am very grateful to those individuals, students and organizations who/that believe in my dream and have provided continuous encouragement and support.

Feeling inspired after attending the Sixth World Conference on the Promotion of Mental Health and Prevention of Mental and Behavioral Disorders in Washington DC, from November 17–19, 2010, I decided to embark on the idea of publishing a book to highlight the efforts of health aspects across Africa, upon my return.
