She completed her M.Pharm in Pharmacognosy from Department of Pharmacy, Barkatullah University, Bhopal in the year 2005. She has 18 years of teaching experience in pharmaceutical education and research, out of which 11 years were spent at Bansal college of Pharmacy, Bhopal. She has published 8 research papers and obtained one patent. She is a lifetime member of Indian Society of Pharmacognosy. She has received an academic excellence award for her great contribution towards academics.
