The Saviours of the Vitals

Author Name: Dr. Arvind Yadav | Format: Paperback | Genre : Biographies & Autobiographies | Other Details

The stories of doctors giving new lives to patients suffering from diseases happen to be quite interesting. There can emerge interesting and vivacious shades of colours in times of lull in the medical journey or throughout the course of this journey. This book is an attempt for readers to experience these beautiful shades of colours. This book tells the story of three doctors, each having their own stories. But many similarities can be drawn from the three stories. The light is thrown on middle-class family struggles and the efforts spewed by parents to make their children live a life much bigger than themselves and to carry forward their unfulfilled dreams. There is sheer dedication to fulfil one’s dreams and calling for moments of renunciation. There is happiness derived from the joy of fulfilling one’s parents’ longing wishes. The duty to treat patients is spanned. To instil demoralized people the lost will to live and the confidence to thrive brings a unique feeling of merriment. Its the moments of struggles and hardships that emerge as the mantra to ignite the courage to face the ordeals.

The book contains the stories of Muralidhar Reddy, the doctor of the brain, Bharata Reddy, the
doctor of the heart and Prasad, the doctor of the kidneys. The reason for writing the stories of
these three is special-all of us are good friends. The friendship is indeed professional and displays
the classic relationship between a doctor and a journalist.

Dr. Arvind Yadav

Many people consign to the arena of journalism, but the 25 years that Dr. Arvind Yadav devoted to the media are considered significant for several reasons. He has not only engaged himself in social and political events but also fought relentlessly for social justice and freedom of the press. An avid traveller and a polyglot, thriving with a gust of passion for sharing astounding and motivational real stories of inspiring people, he has documented the lives of a number of personalities from various fields all over India. He has composed gripping biographies of eminent personalities like ‘Bharat Ratna’ Dr. CNR Rao, India's first woman cardiologist Dr. Padmavati, social activist Phoolbasan Yadav and many more. Dr. Yadav’s work encompasses his duty to highlight stories of people who are obscurely referenced by the mainstream media. Dr. Yadav has 20 books and innumerable articles to his credit so far. Apart from double Masters degrees, he has a PhD in Modern Hindi criticism. He also has a PG Diploma in Media Laws and Psychological Counselling. From 1999 to 2019, Dr. Yadav partook in all assembly and Parliamentary elections across South India. He held significant positions in leading organisations like AajTak/Headlines Today, IBN 7 and TV9 news network. He was instrumental in establishing India’s first end to end HD news channel – Sakshi TV. He worked as Managing Editor (Indian Languages) for YourStory. Notwithstanding spending a significant time of his journalism career covering socio-political events, he reckons that the human mind should be infused with positivity and constructive information to stimulate development.  He has probed into the journalistic quest to indisputable stories of people who believe in bringing forth changes to society rather than whining. His quest extends to social activists, politicians, entrepreneurs, artists, sportspersons and change-makers from every other field. Currently, he is serving as Officer on Special Duty (Media) for the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
