Dr. Aparna Govil Bhasker is a Bariatric & Laparoscopic Surgeon with experience of over 16 years. She is a distinguished alumnus of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sewagram, India. She is dedicated to the care of patients with obesity and bariatric surgery. She is very passionate about patient care and believes in a holistic approach to health. A unique combination of skills with a human touch, she works ceaselessly for the betterment of her patients.
Alongwith with Ms. Mariam Lakdawala, Dr. Bhasker conceptualized and conducted the “Advanced bariatric nutrition course” in 2020 and 2021. This course was endorsed by OSSI, IFSO and the University of Sunderland in UK and has trained over 100 global participants in “bariatric nutrition” from all across the world.

A Registered Dietitian with master’s degree in food, nutrition and dietetics, Ms. Lakdawala is also a certified diabetes educator and a yoga trainer. Her expertise lies in clinical nutrition with super-specialization in bariatric nutrition, non-surgical weight loss and paediatric oncology.
An in-depth knowledge of the science behind food preparation, in addition to patient counselling helps her to be more creative in planning nutritious and yet tasty patient friendly recipes. This makes her diet planning more practical and sustainable.
