Cherian Mathews is a man of many interests—a scientist by profession, he also took to being an author with his recent debut novel Yeshua, Son of Man. Currently retired, he runs a company to develop and manufacture pollution monitoring instruments.
Upon completion of his education in the 1960-70s from Canada, he came back to his roots in India, where he first did his research in the Atomic Energy Establishment in Trombay, and later moved to Kalpakkam to set up a Research Centre dedicated to developing fast breeder reactors where he changed the face of chemistry.
