The purpose of this book is to provide a conceptual introduction to statistical or machine learning (ML) techniques with python code solutions for those that would not normally be exposed to such approaches during their typical required statistical training. Machine learning can be described as a form of statistical analysis, often even utilizing well-known and familiar techniques, that has bit of a different focus than traditional analytical practice in applied disciplines.

Dr. A. Ramesh Babu is currently working as Professor and Dean in School of Science & Humanities Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (Deemed to be University) Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He received his M.Tech., degree in Information Technology from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, received a Ph.D. in Graph Theory, Dept. of Mathematics from Alagappa University karaikudi. He is having 30 years of teaching experience. He has published 27 technical papers in refereed journals, 1 book, and 8 research papers in national and international conferences and granted one patent and one published. He guiding PG and Ph.D. students and 4 Ph.D. students are awarded under his supervision. His areas of interest include Graph Theory, Optimization Techniques, Network Security, Data Mining, Big Data, and Machine Learning.
