The core concept of this book is self-reflection through the idea of looking at our choices. Everything has a good and a bad side attached to it; however, goodness and baseness are just perspectives – what works for us might not work for others. Our choices, sometimes, have certain biases, which are not only harmful to society but can harm us as well. The worrisome part of our biases is that we don’t even know how and when we developed them! So, this story is built around these ideas.
Deepak Sharma
Dr. Deepak Sharma is a materials researcher by profession and is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Groupe de Physique des Matériaux (GPM) in France. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from Coventry University (United Kingdom) and Deakin University (Australia). He has also obtained a master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India. He started his research career with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Automation Engineering from GB Pant Govt Engineering College, Delhi, India.
Apart from his materials research, Dr. Sharma is also interested in learning about human behaviour and thinking patterns – which can change the way of looking at life. This book is a byproduct of these learnings. Dr. Sharma believes in sharing knowledge with others, so he runs a YouTube channel (ScholarTip), where he delivers lectures and hosts a podcast related to higher education, research, and entrepreneurship.
