Dr Sujit Kumar Choudhary is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology at Mahatma Gandhi Central University Bihar (MGCUB), Motihari. Before, Joining MGCUB, he also worked as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi and Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur. He obtained his MA, M.Phil. and PhD degrees in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Dr Choudhary has been conferred many awards, including the most prestigious UGC-Research Award (2016-18). He has published 39 research papers in international and national refereed journals, edited volumes, and presented more than 62 papers on national and international platforms, including Harvard University, Boston, USA. Dr Choudhary has four books to his credit of international repute, viz. Founding Fathers of Sociology: Comte, Spencer, Marx, Durkheim, and Weber (2022), Right to Education in India: A Study of Jharkhand (2022), Interrogating Right to Education in Jharkhand (2023), NGOs, Education and Social Capital: A Micro Study of Tribals (2012), and Thinkers and Theories in Sociology: From Comte to Giddens (2006).
