Better to have a sweet voice rather than a sweet choice. Choice of sweet leads to addiction resulting in a dangerous disease called Diabetes. It eats the health and the wealth, which continues till the end of life. Among diseases Diabetes has earned prominence. It is the disease of the rich and poor alike. For a sugar addict eating sweet is like an offense and the convict has to undergo a life sentence for the act. Diabetes is not confined to a limited area of the body; it infects all organs e.g. heart, liver, kidney, brain, eyes, ears, muscles and many more without discrimination.

Today a majority of the world population is suffering from diabetes. It is a disease of the masses. In view of the expansionist role of Diabetes, it is not a bad idea to brand a sack of sugar to have a print of caution reading “Grains of Diabetes”. Just as smoking is injurious to health similarly excess sugar should be declared as harmful to health.

Know that sugar is the bait by which Diabetes attracts its customers called patients. When we eat sugar, gradually we become addictive to it, because dopamine is released in brain and more insulin secrets to drop the blood sugar level in the normal process. Therefore, high insulin levels cause rapid fat storage and body produces more hunger for the lost sugar. This cycle repeats.
