Just Another Teenage Girl

Author Name: Isha Nagappan | Format: Paperback | Genre : Literature & Fiction | Other Details

Nostalgia is a funny thing, isn’t it? Sometimes it reminds us of a period in the past that makes us so very unhappy but sometimes brings to mind, things that gave us the most happiness. These memories, good or bad, are the only things we will be carrying with us, no matter where life takes us. These memories are what make us who we are. I am eighteen years old and going off to college and even though the world would call me an “adult,” I still feel like I have so much left to see and learn. Join me, Alisha, as I take a walk down memory lane to a time when teenage drama was at its peak, hashtags were not “cool,” the battle with acne was never-ending, feelings for a boy wavered more than an opera singer’s voice, when friends and family did not mean two different things, and every single problem seemed to be the end of the world. Stand with me as I recollect every blunder I committed and be sure to smile with me as I remember all the high moments in life. For all you know, you might even be able to relate to a thing or two. So sit back, relax, and forget all about your drama as you read about mine.

Love,

Just Another Teenage Girl.

Isha Nagappan

Isha Nagappan is a 16 year old who resides in Chennai and is in 11th grade now. As a kid, she always had a passion for writing and feels quite proud of all her article submissions as school projects. She took it a notch further at twelve when she was forced to watch a Ted Talk show with her mother which, to her surprise, she quite enjoyed. This Ted Talk was about a child prodigy, Adora Svitak, who started writing at the age of four, and for some reason, this show influenced Isha and made her want to write more. Her fictional world, which she used to get away from reality, became her first book. She was twelve years old when she completed it and she got it published at the age of thirteen. Her first book was teen fiction just like this one. She was extremely happy and proud of it but didn’t just want to be a one hit wonder. She wanted to continue writing, not to prove something, but for her own happiness. Her style of writing has evolved along with her through these past two years. Writing gives her pleasure, as she feels it is a stage for her to voice out her opinions and thoughts.
