Prof. Raghuram. P is a highly experienced values-driven Occupational Therapist who is a EC Member & Convenor of All India State branches of AIOTA, and Head of Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Occupational Therapy, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (DU), Porur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is the member of Ergonomic Design & Certification Committee in AIOTA.
He spent many years for upgrading the Occupational Therapy profession at State level and National level in both Government and Private sectors. As an Association Office Bearer, he was the main person in establishing the State government and central government Occupational Therapy colleges in Tamil Nadu, India. He involved in establishing Occupational Therapy as an independent faculty status in the State Government Medical University of Tamil Nadu, India. He was the foremost person to introduce Oncology and Palliative care as one of the specialties in the Master of Occupational Therapy in India.
He has also served as a resource person for International, National, State, Zonal and District level Conferences. Prof. Raghuram. P received 12 distinguished awards and honors for his outstanding contribution to the field of Occupational Therapy and for his scientific presentations and also served as a Rehabilitative Assessor in the State Government Project called “Vaazhnthu kattuvom”. He is a role model and inspiration to the future generation.
