It roughly corresponds to Ph 2a and Ph 2b at Caltech (California Institute of Techology, Pasadena, Ca, USA)., although the time frame is separated by at least 50 years.

A graduate of Caltech, the author was offered admission to MIT at the same time as Caltech. Having chosen to attend Caltech, he appeared for all the required courses including Ph 2a,2b, and 2c (QM), and subsequently AM95a,b,c, Classixal pedagogy requires teaching of advaced Mathematics prior to rtaking on QM, but this was (is) not the case at Caltech UG syllabus.
He has taught at IISc, VTU, PSCTech and JNTU in mostly Engineering subjects and has been awarded a UGC Emeritus Professorship at JNTU, along with several Travel grants and has held sponsored projecs for various agencies in USA and India.
