Ameya Kulkarni
Ameya is a 12-year-old photographer, passionate about exploring the world through his lens and using his photography to make a difference.
Over the past few years, he has supported various charitable causes through his photography. With ‘Impressions India’, a photography exhibition held in 2014, Ameya raised funds for the victims of the Kashmir floods. In 2015, he showcased a portfolio of ‘Faces’ in a photo exhibition, in support of Smile Train, a global charity that helps children born with a cleft palate in developing countries. He has also supported various other causes via his lens, including helping raise funds for a school in Pretoria, South Africa.
Ameya continues his work with Smile Train and is dedicating the proceeds of this book to their mission of changing the world one smile at a time.
As a photographer, he tries to capture the ‘moment’ through his images, preferring spontaneity over elaborate preparation for a shot.
When he isn’t behind the lens,Ameyacan be found on the football field orcricket pitch orexploring elements ofmusic technology. He lives inLondonandfinds inspirationinhis various travels with friends and family. A snapshot of his portfolio can be found on www.ameyapics.com.
