Notion Press’ Latest is an Endearing Tale of a Troubled Father

Life doesn’t turn out the way we planned, but it always turns out the way it’s meant to be.” – Katrina Mayer.

There’s something special about the bond that fathers and daughters share. It’s unlike any other. And, of course, the best way to reflect on such unique and endearing relationships is by picking up a book that explores the same. Notion Press, India’s leading self-publishing platform, presents Farther: A Fabulous Tale of a  Troubled Father by Chaitanya Desale, a captivating narrative of how a father strives to be everything for his daughter.

Father begins by unraveling the life of a young couple, Manbir and Nivia, with their toddler daughter, Ruhi. They have been cursed and disowned by their families as they chose to get married to each other, resulting in an intercaste marriage. They have been living far away from their respective families for the same reason.

Manbir is a robotics engineer whose only purpose in life is to work hard on accomplishing his dream, to make India’s first AI robot. However, he had failed in his family responsibilities, and to top it all off, his wife tragically passes away, leaving their daughter to him. Manbir has to struggle to look after Ruhi while working on his company projects.

Will he ever be able to be a great father for his motherless child? Will he be able to make  India’s first A. I robot? And how will he take care of his daughter with a hectic work schedule?  This is what Farther portrays in vivid reality.
