This collection of one hundred poems is a reflection on the many facets of life as well as the jewels of nature. They pay homage to the journey of life we all traverse, each of us with unique companions and unique destinations. Each poem hums with the emotions of the poet, and the vastness of life is palpable in Dr. Mohanty’s words. Some poems even have traces of her own life and city, and some weave lovely tales of folklore into the stories her poems tell.

Dr. Prabhat Nalini Mohanty is a gynaecologist by profession, and poetry and literature are her enduring passions. She is considered one of the top professionals in her field, and has even been covered in the papers for some of the miraculous work she has done.

For Dr. Prabhat Nalini Mohanty, writing poetry was “as much a dream as it is an art”. She began writing poetry in earnest in her late sixties, primarily for her good friends, and the pleasure they derived from the words she weaved. Egged on by their appreciation, she finally took her pursuit of poetry a step further, which has resulted in the publication of Moonfatuated, her debut as a poet and author.

Apart for her love of poetry, literature, and medicine, Dr. Prabhat Nalini Mohanty has strong emotional ties to her hometown of Bhubaneswar in the state of Odisha, India. She grew up in the city, and finds that it constantly fires her imagination, and urges her to pen down her feelings.

This book is available in print and e-book format at the Notion Press online bookstore and several other e-commerce portals including Amazon and Flipkart.
