Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalLife is like a patchwork quilt - a grand design by the Master Craftsman, made of bits and pieces, memories of joys and sorrows, events expected or sudden, experiences and encounters, every one of them remembered for a specific reason, stitched with the thread that has over the years, connected us each day from one moment to the next. And yet even the whole quilt that is life is far more than a single square.
This book of memories, is really a patchwork quilt of Rupa De’s life, with the cities she has lived in as the base, and pieces of her experiences as the patches. It is to inspire each one of the readers to go down the memory-lane of their own lives and make their own quilt.
Rupa De
Ms. Rupa De (Sen) was born in Kolkata, India, and had a major part of her education there. She later moved to Hyderabad where she continues to live. She has donned several hats, flitting from one career to another with great aplomb -in the airline and travel industry, in the health sector and in the education field, to name a few. Rupa has always had a flair for the arts – her paintings, her murals, her sculptures and her embroidery bear their testimony. It is therefore no surprise that she has taken to writing to satisfy her creative instincts. An effortless writer, her mastery in the English language is impeccable. She weaves narratives in an exemplary style with a smooth flow of words. She has already translated two books and has authoured another. At the twilight of her life, as she wants to describe it, she decided to pen her experiences and adventures that took her through this journey. With her ever-burgeoning talent, this achievement will definitely be one more feather in her cap.
