Notion Press Presents Poetry From the Pen of a 13 Year Old – Ink on Paper

Poetry serves as a window to the soul. Notion Press, India’s leading self-publishing platform, presents Ink on Paper by Vishikha. This book is a blend of emotion set in rhyme and can be picked up anytime to read. Each poem is preceded by a short story that sets the stage so to speak for the poem that follows.

Interwoven with mature themes, the poetry inscribed in this book will touch a chord with everyone irrespective of the age. The author, while still in her fading bloom of pre-teen years shows a maturity and a wise perspective of life, the reality and the emotions involved in it. Each poem is a journey that takes us through the best and the worst of Vishikha as she bares her soul.

“Your poem is brilliant. The feeling of gratitude for what we have and the compassion to share

it with others for making their lives better is what brings good sense in this world.”

“You talk about life like you’ve lived it a 100 times with hope, with prayers, with love, running

through your veins. You are so gifted and so young. Loved the way you pour your heart out

into your words. More power to you. So proud of you.”

Vishikha, the teen poet, was born in the small town of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. She found

an interest in poetry at an early age. Still in school, she started as an Instagram Poet on the

Instagram page @unlockme16 and visits Open Mics when she gets that chance. Writing was an

outlet for her to begin expressing herself. The decision of writing a book came to her mind at the

age of 13.

She is currently studying in DPS, Panvel, which she says is an amazing school and is what made

her a poet. She describes the principal, Mrs Anita Dua as very cooperative and very

encouraging. The school encourages all art forms and acknowledges talent the way no other

school does. If it wasn’t for them, this book would not be possible.

Ink on paper is her first book.

The book is available in print and e-book format at the Notion Press bookstore and several other e-commerce portals including Amazon and Flipkart.
