How to write a short story: A workshop with Jahnavi Barua

A short story writing workshop with award-winning author Jahnavi Barua is being conducted and is perfect for anyone interested in writing creative fiction. Jahnavi’s first book, Next Door is a collection of short stories that was published by Penguin India and fetched her wide critical acclaim.

Her second novel, Rebirth was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Prize and Man Asian Literary Prize. This workshop will help participants develop a basic discipline of writing a short story through a series of lectures, discussions and exercises. At the end of the workshop, participants will be writing and presenting their short stories, which will then be discussed or critiqued in the workshop.
