Blossoms An Art Therapy Book

Author Name: Paper Paints & Poetry | Format: Paperback | Genre : Arts, Photography & Design | Other Details
Pablo Picasso once said "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." This book is dedicated to all those artists left behind in their childhood. Art therapy is an expression outlet that brings out the underlying inner emotional and psychological essence to the surface. It is a meditative process that helps expel negative energy and bring in a sense of calm and tranquillity. Today, it is the most sort out form of stress-busting. Some use it to cope with mental health, others use it for physical rehabilitation. It is proven to help relieve pain, reduce anxiety, recollect thought, improve the general quality of life. While everybody might not get access to an art therapist, simple doodling or even mindful coloring can do the trick. What most artists think as doodling can be therapeutic to somebody else. PPP has brought together many such artists from across the globe to bridge the gap between the artist and the art enthusiast. The PPP community of artists have generously shared their creations, to make the gift of art accessible to all. This one of a kind project was initiated to uplift, showcase and promote up and coming talents in the world of art.

Paper Paints & Poetry

Paper Paints and Poetry started as a small paint party between two friends looking for a break from routine. It soon snowballed into becoming an artist collective, bringing together many poets and artists from across the globe into its community. Janani and Anupama started Paper Paints and Poetry towards the end of 2018. And in less than a year, the duo has added many golden feathers to PPP's cap. They were featured at the Bengaluru Poetry Festival at the beginning of 2019, which was soon followed by the release of their first book, Ikigai - the reason for being, which bought together over 50 poets from around the world. In September of 2019, on the first anniversary of PPP, they won the 'Shining Woman Entrepreneur' award presented by the Women Entrepreneurship Foundation, for their initiative with PPP. They have also been finalists at the Bangalore Literature Festival this year, where they pitched their idea for their next book to a panel of distinguished international publishing houses. With Blossoms, PPP will be venturing into the world of art publishing and continue to expand its repertoire to feature artists from across mediums.
