Born in 1969 at Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Shishir Kumar Goel (Shishir Madhukar) discovered his poetic side while pursuing his research career in the field of science and technology. After a post graduate degree from Meerut University, he earned his Ph.D in Physics from Banaras Hindu University in the year 1996. Currently he is working as a Scientific Officer in Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), New Delhi, and has been associated with this organization since last eighteen years. Shishir also has a penchant for English poetry and some of his work can be seen at www.hindisahitya.org, www.familyfriendpoems.com and www.forums.familyfriendpoems.com in the virtual space.
