Its been enough time, while you've lied to yourself all this while, That you're moving on or that you already have. But, deep inside. you know the truth. You haven't moved on. You still have their pictures in a hidden folder and nobody knows about it. Your heart still takes a leap, when a notification pops up and you desperately hope for it to be their text: You still go to their favouriteplace, hoping you'd bump into them. Even on social media, you can't stop checking their profile from your fake account, the one they haven't blocked.
But, you never admit that you're stuck with them, that they've moved on and you haven't. You keep lying to people about how happy you are, and how you love this singlehood. The worst part about this is that, at times, you even lie to yourself, while you know that you haven't.
Hope is good until it's realistic. But now, after all this time. this hope will give you nothing but pain. You need to stop holding on to this hope. Delete those pictures, stop checking their profile, stop expecting that they'd text, stop thinking that you can't live without them. It's time. It's time to move on. The sooner you let go of the post, the lighter you'd feel. Let's do this. one day at a time, one picture at a time.
