About the Author

Ananthasairam Rangarajan was born in 1946 in a family of agriculturists and had his early education in a panchayat school in the village. After graduating from Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur, his penchant for teaching fetched him degrees in Education from University of Madras. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in the teaching of English from Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages, Hyderabad. His career as a teacher in various capacities spread over three decades in many institutions, and Dr. Radhakrishnan Award for Best Teacher was bestowed on him by Tamil Nadu Government in 1997. His Tamil book on how to talk in English in the form of a narrative (Easiya Pesalam English) has seen many editions, still in print.
