Deepa Rao Acharya

Deepa Rao Acharya was senior copy editor and feature writer for Hyderabad Times, The Times of India, where she wrote on every topic under the sun. She then transitioned to a different form of storytelling, working as a feature film and television script writer in Mumbai.

She has written for various production houses – including AXN, 9X, Zoom and Shekhar Kapur. Deepa is also a published short story writer. Besides this, her writing portfolio includes corporate communication projects, documentaries, ad copy and ad film scripts.

In her role as entrepreneur, Deepa owns an events company, which funds her Foundation - also called Lit Spirit. It aims at bringing about social transformation through spiritual awareness. She is frequently invited to speak on related topics.

Deepa lives in Bangalore with her husband. Lit Spirit is her first book.
