But the night before, in a feverish delirium, Rohit and his girlfriend Shreya chat on WhatsApp, which soon transforms into an intimate video call. Rohit believes that he is in love with Shreya, in a way that he never felt before, as now he is away from her and records the video call.
Rohit desperately wants to finish his PhD and get a job at JNU. He is forced to be in Panamaram, Kerala, on a research tour, intimidated by his research supervisor.
Later that night, someone steals his phone. It is the same phone in which Rohit recorded the video call. The video has the potential to destroy the lives of both Rohit and Shreya.
Rohit has no one to trust. Before anyone, including the police, could lay their hands on the phone, Rohit must find a way to prevent the unthinkable from happening.
